Are you a member of Lyme Ambulance Association?
Membership benefits you and helps us to serve the community better! Click here to download the annual membership form (pdf format requires Adobe Reader). As a member you not only enjoy the priviledge of free ambulance services in Lyme, but your membership is honored in any town in the Valley Shore area.
Support Lyme Ambulance
Your membership and contributions allow us to provide ambulance service at no charge for residents of Lyme and some in East Haddam who live within a catchment area adjoining Hadlyme. The cost of operating this all-volunteer service is approximately $50,000/year, exclusive of the cost of replacing an ambulance. While the town of Lyme generously allows us to garage the ambulances in our fire stations and supplies the fuel to run them, the ambulances and maintenance, as well as training, insurance, equipment, and all supplies are all provided by funds received from annual memberships and through donations of our supporters.

Interested in volunteering with the Operations Crew?
We are always looking for new volunteers in any capacity. Talk to any of our members, pick up a brochure at the library, or contact Carter Courtney at 434-0057, or Tom Darna at 434-7042. We have a thorough in-house training program for drivers, and there’s local training for MRTs or EMTs, the costs of which are reimbursed once you become an active crew member. You are also welcome to attend our monthly Operations meeting, usually held on the second Sunday of the month at 6:30 pm at Hamburg fire station. (Click here for more information) |
